How we got started
We started as a two-man crew doing foundation repair around Erie County, mostly for people who had already paid somebody else to fix the same problem. That is still the most common call we get. A homeowner buys a drainage system from a company that never looked at the outside of the house, the water comes back the following spring, and nobody answers the phone.
Working on Sandusky houses taught us something that shaped how we operate. This city has more limestone buildings than anywhere else in Ohio, and a stone foundation laid in lime mortar fails in a completely different way from a poured concrete wall. The City of Sandusky will only issue a sewer permit for the installation, repair, or replacement of a storm or sanitary lateral to a licensed contractor, and the same applies to excavation in a city right-of-way. If your property sits in a mapped flood plain area, a flood plain permit has to be issued before a building permit can follow. We pull all of it, schedule the inspections, and stay on site for them.

Are you licensed to do foundation and drainage work in Sandusky?

How long does a basement waterproofing job take?

Do you work on stone foundations, or only poured concrete?

The correct repair is repointing with a lime-compatible mortar — never modern portland mix, which is harder than the stone and damages it — usually combined with interior drainage and a wall membrane.
